Morven House is a three storey Victorian building with nine letting rooms, a guest lounge and a breakfast room.
Morven House is situated half a mile from the Weymouth British Rail Station and the main drop off point for National Express Buses on the Esplanade. There are usually taxis waiting at both locations: however specially adapted taxis can be booked through a local taxi firm if required (Fleetline Taxis 0500-784252).
We have a large off road car park with ample free parking for all our guests. Guests with a Blue Badge are welcome to park on the forecourt near the front door. Other guests are asked to park at the rear of the property. Guests with Blue Badges should be aware however that Weymouth and Portland Borough Council do not always follow national customs on the use of Blue Badges and will issue fines to drivers with Blue Badges if they overstay or park inappropriately in the town centre carparks.

There are four steps with a hand rail either side to our main front door which is 0.91 m wide. An entrance porch leads to a second door which is also 0.91m wide. Seating is provided in our main entrance hallway.
On the ground floor is a guest lounge, breakfast room and twin en suite room. The two former are entered by doors 0.86m wide and the ground floor twin ren suite is entered by a set of two firedoors with a maximum width of 0.71m. The ground floor twin en suite contains a bathroom with a shower. There is a 30cm step into the shower.
The bedroom like all of the Morven's bedrooms contains a television equipped with remote control and teletext. The bedroom contains a fitted wardrobe, dressing table and window seat which cannot be moved. The carpet is short pile.
Each of the en suite bathrooms at Morven House contains a shower, a wash basin and a toilet.
We also have one family en suite & seven double en suite rooms on the first and second floors reached by a flight of 14 stairs followed by a second flight of a maximum of 22 stairs. Two bedrooms have modern wet room style bathrooms without traditional cubicles.
From Morven House to the sea is only 150 metres if crossing a main road by foot at the nearest point however here is a zebra crossing approximately 100 m from Morven House which leads to the seafront by a slightly longer route of 500m.
Mobile phone reception is patchy. Morven House is totally non smoking.
We are able to take delivery of pre-booked mobility scooters and store them overnight in our secure garage where they may be recharged free off cost. Two local companies called Active Mobility (15 Abbottsbury Road tel 01305774422) and Dorset Mobility (Jubilee Enterprise Centre near Matalan tel01305781122) hire out such scooters to visitors on a daily or weekly basis.
